Upcycling a jewelry box

Upcycling your jewelry box I see lots of wooden jewelry boxes being given to charity shops. People have fallen out of love with them. These are well made pieces and vintage too. I hate to see these lovely pieces being thrown out so why not upcycle them! It's so easy to do! Here's what you will need:- Wooden jewelry box Small paint brush Chalk paint Wax or sealer Sandpaper to distress Step 1 - Clean it up I start by giving the whole box a wipe down with a damp cloth. These boxes are usually dusty. Inside is usually fine unless you have a particularly used box with bits of earring backs and fluff. Again just spend 10 minutes wiping it all away. Step 2 - Sand it over - Optional This part is optional as in some cases the box will not need to be sanded down. You may have a box that's particularly full of uneven sides or bits of blobs.
